  • What’s a fun fact about you that most people don’t know? One of our clients named one of their conference rooms “Screenivas”. I came to know only when we visited them.
  • How did you get into the field of engineering and technology? Share your career journey:

I’ve always been fascinated by the intersection of technology and problem-solving — how the right solution, thoughtfully designed, can make a meaningful impact. My journey into IT began in 1995 at a manufacturing plant, where we were searching for packaged software to manage operations. When nothing on the market fit our needs, I decided to build the solution myself.

I bought a PC286, taught myself dBase, and developed my first inventory management system. That experience was a turning point. The thrill of solving a real-world problem with technology hooked me—and I’ve never looked back.

Since then, my 28-year journey has spanned mainframes (s390), client-server architectures, SOA, and now cloud-native AI applications. I’ve led cross-functional teams, built enterprise platforms, and focused on designing innovative, user-centric solutions.

I bring a product development mindset to my work, always looking to solve not only current issues but also anticipate future needs. Joining Bridgenext allowed me to channel this mindset into building transformative AI and automation solutions that drive scalable, real-world impact.

  • What excites you most about leading transformational digital initiatives at Bridgenext?

What excites me most is shaping the future of digital experiences. At Bridgenext, I’m not just implementing technology—I’m reimagining how businesses interact with customers, data, and workflows. Leading large-scale AI initiatives lets me combine strategic vision with hands-on execution to deliver innovative, user-focused solutions.

I’m passionate about using AI, automation, and data-driven insights to build agile, scalable, and intelligent digital ecosystems. Balancing business needs, user experience, and technical feasibility keeps me engaged and motivated.

  • Tell us about a project that you’re particularly proud of. What was the impact?

One standout project was a large-scale upgrade for a manufacturing company. We were tasked with modernizing over 200+ legacy applications interacting with more than 20 types of industrial devices — including conveyors, embossing machines, packaging systems, PLCs, robotics, and more.

The complexity? The entire development and QA team worked offshore without access to the actual devices.

To solve this, we built a simulation interface to mimic serial and parallel port communications, allowing for end-to-end testing using mock data.

    The impact:

    • We significantly reduced testing cycles and risks.
    • The go-live was smooth, with minimal issues.
    • The simulation framework became a reusable asset for future projects.

This project remains one of my proudest achievements not just because of the technical innovation, but because it demonstrated what’s possible when creativity, problem-solving, and collaboration come together to solve real-world challenges at scale.

  • What’s a tech trend that you think will reshape the industry in the next 5 years?

Artificial General Intelligence (AGI) will fundamentally shift industries by evolving from task-based automation to cognitive reasoning. While full AGI may still be emerging, we’re already seeing strides in AI-driven automation, multimodal systems, and natural human-AI interactions.

For companies like Bridgenext, this shift calls for a fundamental change in approach. We must move beyond traditional methods of building, testing, and deploying applications, and embrace an AI-native mindset to stay ahead in this rapidly evolving landscape.

  • Which tool, software, or framework do you rely on daily and why?

While I use the usual productivity and development tools, I dedicate time to evaluating emerging tech—especially Agentic frameworks and Memory-Context-Protocol (MCP) architectures. These tools are enabling the next generation of AI systems that are autonomous, context-aware, and highly adaptive.

What excites me is the shift from static workflows to intelligent automation. I focus on understanding not just how tools work, but why they exist, and how they add real business value.

  • What’s one innovation in digital transformation that you find particularly exciting?

Conversational and Voice AI as a primary interface is a game-changer. We’ve evolved from CLI to GUI to touch—and now, natural language.

Powered by generative AI, conversational systems eliminate friction and deliver intuitive, personalized experiences. This shift enables smarter engagement across sectors like healthcare, education, commerce, and enterprise—bringing digital interaction full circle.

  • What do you love most about working with your team at Bridgenext?

What I love most about working with my team at Bridgenext is the shared passion for innovation and an unwavering commitment to doing what’s best for the client. We operate in a culture that thrives on curiosity, collaboration, and continuous learning. Ideas are welcomed from everyone, regardless of role or title and that openness creates a dynamic environment where people feel empowered to think big and push boundaries.

What stands out is the sense of ownership and agility. Every team member is invested in not only their tasks, but the team’s overall success. This collective commitment drives our ability to deliver high-impact solutions at scale.

  • How do you foster innovation and collaboration within your team?

Continuous learning fuels innovation, especially in fast-changing fields like technology and digital transformation. Staying current isn’t optional—it’s essential. I encourage my team to explore new tools, ideas, and frameworks, but more importantly, to put those learnings into action. Experimentation isn’t just allowed—it’s expected.

To drive innovation and collaboration, I champion an iterative, feedback-driven approach. Sharing early ideas or prototypes fosters alignment, speeds up innovation, and ensures we’re solving the right problems together.

  • What’s a defining moment in your career that shaped your leadership style?

A defining moment in my career was transitioning from an individual contributor to leading cross-functional teams. The quote, “If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together,” reshaped my perspective on leadership. I learned that lasting success, especially in digital transformation, comes from collaboration, trust, and shared ownership.

While leading an enterprise-wide initiative, I saw how empowering others, fostering psychological safety, and uniting around a shared vision drive innovation and impactful outcomes. This experience transformed my leadership philosophy. Now, I focus on building high-performing teams where every voice is valued, mentorship thrives, and collective growth is prioritized—because we go further when we go together.

  • What’s your favorite productivity hack or habit?

Context switching. When I hit a mental block, I intentionally shift to something stimulating—like exploring UI/UX trends or evaluating new tech. This often sparks fresh ideas I bring back to the original problem.

I’m also an active backer on Kickstarter and Indiegogo, testing early-stage tech products. It’s a fun way to stay ahead of trends and learn from innovative designs.

  • Favorite quote or motto that inspires you?

“Preach what you practice. Practice what you preach.”

This quote is a daily reminder to lead with integrity. Authenticity means living your values and ensuring your actions align with your words. It builds trust, inspires respect, and drives value-based impact—both personally and professionally.

With a mindset rooted in curiosity, collaboration, and bold innovation using Generative AI solutions, Sreenivas is shaping not only technology but also the future.
