Team & Project Overview:

The PostgreSQL developer will join our dynamic team focused on developing microservice-based solutions. As part of our digital consultancy, you will collaborate closely with clients to design, develop, and implement innovative solutions that drive value and enhance user experiences. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in PostgreSQL database management, including writing complex queries, procedures, and functions, as well as conducting code reviews and performance tuning. Additionally, familiarity with Microsoft SQL and MySQL databases is advantageous. The candidate should possess excellent communication skills and a strong aptitude for problem-solving.

Responsibilities:

• Strong development knowledge in DB Design & development with 3+ Years to 6 Years of experience (Postgres DB) – Mandatory.
• Strong hands-on experience in writing complex PGSQL procedures and functions to prevent blocking and deadlocks.
• Conduct SQL object code reviews and performance tuning – Mandatory.
• Having hands-on experience with Microsoft SQL and MySQL databases is an advantage.
• Strong knowledge in RDBMS and NoSQL concepts with strong logical thinking and solutions – Highly required.
• Expertise in transaction databases (OLTP) and a thorough understanding of ACID properties, particularly in handling large-scale application databases – Mandatory.
• Collaborate with application developers to provide guidance, SQL queries, and PGSQL procedures, ensuring the implementation of optimal database solutions.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in experience in database design and development, with a focus on PostgreSQL.
• Proven expertise in writing complex PGSQL procedures and functions, with a strong understanding of database optimization techniques.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft SQL and MySQL databases is an advantage.
• Solid understanding of relational (RDBMS) and NoSQL database concepts, with the ability to apply logical thinking to problem-solving.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively convey technical information to diverse audiences.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to addressing challenges and finding solutions.
• Experience in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with clients and cross-functional teams.
• Exposure to C# and .NET Core being a distinct advantage.
• Knowledge of cloud computing technologies and platforms (AWS, Azure, etc.) is a distinct advantage.
• Knowledge of application monitoring tools and adeptness in performance assessments is a distinct advantage.
