Challenge / Goal
A U.S.- based convention planning organization needed a partner to design, implement and manage a comprehensive IT environment for a large convention within a very short timeframe of three weeks. They required a highly secure IT architecture to support up to 250 employees with access to cloud-based tools and custom software deployed on site as well as BYOD functionality.
Solution
Within a 10-day period, Bridgenext (formerly Emtec) designed, procured and implemented a complete technical environment including systems, secure high-speed networking and data circuits, a cloud virtual data center with data and BYOD security and an Office 365 environment with Azure active directory, identity management, data management and file collaboration services to support multi-tiered security and access requirements. Cat-6 wiring was installed across multiple floors to support network connectivity and fully equipped collaboration spaces.
Once live, our team provided onsite and on-call end-user help desk, deskside, system and network support for onsite and remote users, as well as managed security services including active threat management.
Results
The convention planning organization was fully operational prior to their target date. Their staff of 250 was onboarded quickly and able to ramp up and function effectively from day one. The client successfully coordinated with virtual teams across the country to seamlessly manage and complete activities for a successful event. Notable benefits included:
